Itō Tōzan
History
Founded his business in 1867: table wares, fine porcelain and Satsuma-style earthenware. Teishitsu Gigei-in 1917. A Tozan mark records a Satsuma shishi commissioned by the cloisonné artist Namikawa Yasuyuki in Meiji 44 (Lawrence prints '1912'; Meiji 44 = 1911) (p.247).
